I made this sculpture specifically for a contest called "Alienated Anatomy" and won 1st place.
I came across this character concept and could not get it out of my head. I found it both beautiful and haunting at the same time. Like, what would you say to this being if it were in front of you?
Started with aluminum wire frame and built up the spine and shoulders first, then worked my way down.
The head started as a Smallville Clark Kent head cast. I dremeled the top half of the head away and sculpted the skull and hair.
I used Super Sculpey for the majority of the build and Aves Sculpt for minor areas.
